Freuchie Fever: When The Scots Beat The English At The Home Of Cricket

Our next Factual Entertainment doc for BBC Radio Scotland is a look back at Freuchie Cricket Club’s incredible against-the-odds victory in the National Village Cup in 1985, becoming the first and only Scottish team to lift the trophy and win a competitive match at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The presenter will be broadcaster & writer Andrew Cotter (sadly without Olive & Mabel!), with contributions from Freuchie team members Dave Christie & Alan Duncan and BBC Cricket commentator Jonathan Agnew. The script editor is Philip Differ.

Episode 1 airs on Friday 7th, April at midday, with Episode 2 airing on Monday, 10th April at midday.
